The Cybertruck might be the most wrap-friendly new vehicle on the road, and also one of the most misunderstood. We have done a full fleet wrap on one for Way Cool Plumbing & Air and a custom printed rust and patina wrap that makes a brand new truck look like it sat in a field for fifty years. Here is what we have learned.
Flat panels are a gift
Most vehicles are a puzzle of compound curves. The Cybertruck is mostly big flat planes. That means printed graphics stay true: logos do not stretch, text stays straight, and photography reads clean. It is one of the best canvases a business can buy.
Stainless steel changes the conversation
There is no paint to protect, so the reasons to wrap are color and branding. Stainless also shows fingerprints and water spots. A satin or matte film fixes that and gives you a finish that is far easier to keep clean in the dust.
The angles still take skill
Those sharp creases are where cheap installs fail. Film has to be laid and trimmed so edges sit on the creases, not across them. Panel gaps on the doors and tonneau need careful relief cuts.
The sun hits big flat panels hard
The hood and the long sloped roofline face straight up. In Phoenix, that is a lot of direct UV. Laminate matters, and lighter colors on top surfaces are worth considering. Read more in our article on wrap life in Arizona.
